CONTEMPORARY
Art Tours & Artist Studio Visits

Have you noticed that spending time in an art gallery makes you calm and focused? Have you often felt that looking at artworks, really looking, ignites a little fire in your brain? That discussing a topic with others gives you a sense of connection and wellbeing?

Then my contemporary art program is for you.

I offer private art tours and for individuals and groups. All my sessions are centred around the idea of object-based looking: taking time to be with each artwork, to let its stories and our reactions unfold.

London Private Art Tours

My Art Tours are 1,5 to 2hrs long and take place on site, visiting a museum, a few smaller galleries in a neighbourhood, or public artworks outside. The sessions are inclusive, fun and engaging. By closely looking at artworks, we will unravel the mysteries and pleasures of art together. The tours will offer a safe space in which you can think, talk and make new connections, and connect with other art lovers.

Artist Studio Visits in London

Are you looking for a piece of art for your home or office, and don’t know where to start? Do you value connections with creatives, and supporting artists? I always find that spending time with an artists in the space where they work is invaluable, like getting a unique glimpse into their minds, their materials, and their processes. I offer studio visits to emerging and established artists in London.

On my last visit, we went to the studios of artists Mircea Teleagă and Minyoung Choi in Hackney Wick. From Romania and South Korea respectively, they met studying painting at the Slade.

Candice Lin: g/hosti at Whitechapel Gallery

Wednesday 26th November, 3.00-4.30pm

Meeting point: Whitechapel Gallery, 77-82 Whitechapel High Street, London E1 7QX£35,- per person

Join me on my next art tour where we will see and reflect on Candice Lin’s installation. Incredibly rich in detail. Her cardboard maze at first glance looks like a magical forest but soon turns into something more sinister, with phone screens suspended between the foliage showing scenes of violence, and animals displaying their savagery. American-born, LA based Lin was commissioned to make the work during university protests and the recent fires in her community in LA, but the installation transcends the local and the specific. What Lin’s labyrinth-like form so powerfully conveys is that there is no way to hide for us humans.

This tour is part of ART TO MIND - my program of deeper art engagement for mental wellbeing.
