Celebrate London Gallery Weekend with me in Hackney! We will start at Alma Pearl Gallery where we will see BlckGeezer’s first solo show. BlackGeezer recently graduate from the Royal College of Art and was the recipient of the Sir Frank Bowling Award in 2023. At Seventeen we will see Nina Davies’s intriguing video works; a recent Goldsmiths graduate, Davies considers the present moment through observing dance in popular culture; how it's disseminated, circulated, made, and consumed. A twenty-minute walk through the vibrant streets of Hackney will take us to Lychee One, where Qian Qian will give us an introduction to her first solo exhibition. Qian Qian won the Mother Art Prize in 2022 for her intricate watercolours that explore the intersections of technology with mythology, the material with the spiritual, and the tangible with the transcendent. We will end with a drink at the gallery.
